Food for Thought – Breathe!

I finished day three of a four-day training from The Center for Mind-Body Medicine that teaches various techniques; breathwork is one of them. The science behind breathwork and its positive impact is mind-boggling.

Doing this work makes my mind ponder how often leaders and employees breathe. I spend more time not connecting with my breath while at work. Is it possible that organizations, leaders, and employees would be less stressed, calmer, more focused, happier, and healthier individuals, thus making for better organizations overall if we all tune into our breath more? It is possible to gain such benefits from something as simple as conscious/mindful breathing.
